Product Showcase: ICON1000 Riding Gear

ICON1000 is a sub-collection of the ICON riding gear line that will be officially released at the Indy Dealer Expo (February 17) and expected in stores by April. The "1000" moniker is derived from the Icon team's preference for liter bikes and the gear is styled for aggressive street riders and has an urban post-apocalyptic look.

Much of the gear includes D3O armor CE armor, which is thin and highly flexible armor, but solidifies at a molecular level when impact forces are applied. Select items within the ICON1000 collection are tagged "Limited Edition" and are cut from aniline- and drum-dyed leathers, which are more labor intensive to produce since only the finest hides can be treated with these leather processes. The gray- and red-colored leathers are especially difficult to produce in mass quantities and the availability of these leathers will be very limited.

Additonally, colors of the gray and the red leathers can vary from one dye lot to the next.  Therefore, the Interceptor Grey Chapter Jacket ($600-$650 - pictured above on the left) and the Harmonic Red Federal Jacket ($600 - above, right) will be more limited than other color choices.

The Branded Shorty Jacket ($400-$450 - pictured on the right) is also a limited-edition item based on its unique arm-graphic application: every sleeve logo print on the Branded Shorty is unique, so when the supply runs out, they will be gone. (A Stealth Shorty will be available without the unique printed logo.)
